Sage ACT! 2013 Expands Mobile, Social and E-Marketing CapabilitiesACT! Product News
Scottsdale, Ariz. (September 5, 2012) – Sage North America today announced availability of the 25th Anniversary Edition Sage ACT! 2013 contact and customer management products for small and midsized businesses. Mobile capabilities for use with devices including iPhone®, iPad® and AndroidTM among others expand the 2013 release which includes social media, e-marketing and smart task automation capabilities. Sage ACT! is used by over 2.8 million individuals and 59,000 companies as a business command center, integrating relationship and sales details, critical desktop and back-office applications, web services and social media tools to propel sales results.

The 2012 SMB Group Mobile Solutions survey reveals 76% of small businesses use mobile solutions to support business functions. Working more easily from remote locations (63%), accessing people and information faster (53%), improving customer service (41%), and increasing sales (22%) were noted by small businesses as top benefits of providing mobile solutions to their employees.
New Sage ACT! 2013 addresses small business technology trends:
- Mobility – Sage ACT! Premium Mobile,1 included with Sage ACT! Premium, enables secure, real-time mobile access to Sage ACT! data from iPhone, iPad or Android devices. Users can view, add and edit Sage ACT! contact details, notes, history, activities, opportunities and calendar items – plus globally search any text field or attachment in their database. A list view provides date, status, process and sales stage filtering, and contact and opportunity views can be personalized for each mobile device. Sage also offers the subscription-based Sage ACT! Connect mobile service for Sage ACT! Pro customers with one to 10 users to access Sage ACT! contact and calendar details on iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry®, Android, or Windows Mobile® devices.2
- Social Media – Sage ACT! integrates with LinkedIn® and Facebook® to display a collection of each contact’s last 25 posts,3 according to their privacy settings, in one centralized view on their Sage ACT! contact record. Users can develop unique insights based on the topics and sentiment of each customer’s day-to-day social media interactions to aid them throughout the sales cycle and click any customer’s post to display complete social media profiles. Recommended contact match-ups help put faces to names by associating a user’s Sage ACT! contacts with LinkedIn Connections and Facebook friends.
- E-marketing – Sage E-marketing for ACT! is a subscription-based cloud service that integrates with a Sage ACT! contact database to create and automate professional email campaigns. Users can track email open, opt-out and click-through metrics to help prioritize sales activities and have drip marketing features automatically send targeted messages to contacts based on responses to previous emails. Social Sharing features expand campaign reach by pushing messages to LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter® and inserting social sharing icons in email footers so recipients can post them to their social networks.
- Workflow Automation – Sage ACT! 2013 also expands Smart Task functionality to help users automate everyday activities like changing a status to Closed-Won once a sales opportunity is fulfilled. Users can apply built-in Smart Tasks out of the box, make customizations or easily create their own.
